Dr. Bruce Mosely, MD, an orthopedic surgeon at Baylor University Medical Center in Texas, astounded himself and his staff with an experiment published in the New England Journal of Medicine in 2002.  He performed knee surgery on two groups, one received a lavage or a debridement, while the control group was taken into surgery but no procedure was actually performed.  The recovery rates in both groups were the same.  Many in the control group who could barely walk before surgery, could now run!

In Genie In Your Genes by Dawson Church, PhD he reports that placebos cure patients in about 35% of all cases.  Irving Kristol, PhD, a psychologist at the University of Connecticut, analyzed the results of numerous drug studies for depression and found that about three quarters of the entire effect of antidepressants such as Prozac and Zoloft is due to the placebo effect.  Kristol later published a second study, a meta-analysis of forty-seven studies of antidepressants from the  FDA database.  He found that an average of 80% of the effect of the drugs was due to the placebo effect.

In the realm of quantum physics there is an often verified experiment known as the Observer Effect.  Light which is beamed to a recording target location arrives in either a particle or wave form depending upon the intention of the scientist performing the experiment.  In other words, the scientist controls the nature of light with his thoughts!! The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy, PhD, D.D. contains many examples of the life changing techniques of the power of positive thinking and affirmation.  Not only are fortunes obtained in this manner, but “miracle” healings from cancer and most other diseases, are frequently realized.
